The Oven Quilt is one of Edie and Ginny 's heirloom quilts. The Hecks have nowhere to store it, so they put it in the oven. It gets burned when someone is using the oven and forgets to take it out, but sometimes is useful, as proved in Bad Choices when Frankie uses it to sop up water that sprayed from the dishwasher. In the end, this is just one of those things that makes the Hecks who they are.
